Isaiah,
Columbus has been selected from the KaBOOM! National Campaign for Play as a
2008 Playful City USA community. This is another feather in our cap
highlighting a great quality of life in our city. One of 100 Best Communities
for Young People; The 4th Best Place in the U.S. to live and raise a family,
and now, Playful City USA. We cannot publicly announce this designation until
Saturday, September 6th.
We'd like to come to Council on Sept. 9th with a Proclamation announcing our
designation as a Playful City USA community. We will make the presentation fun
with some kids to assist in keeping with our designation theme. Just want you
to be aware in the event the media highlights this before we officially
announce to Council and the Community.
