SUBJECT: Street Acceptance- Portion of Dreamboat Drive and Portion of Confetti

Blush Drive Located in Old Town Right-of-Way

Recommendation: Approval is requested to accept that portion of Dreamboat Drive

and that portion of Confetti Blush Drive located in Old Town Right-of-way

survey part of Dreamboat Drive and Confetti Blush Drive.



Background: That portion of Dreamboat Drive and that portion of Confetti Blush

Drive located in Old Town Right-of-way survey part of Dreamboat Drive and

Confetti Blush Drive. Old Town is a Planned Unit Development (PUD). The streets

have been improved and meet the required specifications for acceptance by the

City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of

Dreamboat Drive and that portion of Confetti Blush Drive located in Old Town

Right-of-way survey part of Dreamboat Drive and Confetti Blush Drive. A

description of property is as follows: All those tracts and parcels of land

situate, lying and being in the State of Georgia, County of Muscogee and City

of Columbus, in Land Lot 270, 19th District, Muscogee County, Georgia

identified as "Confetti Blush Drive" and Dreamboat Drive on the Plat titled

"Right Of Way Survey Part of Dreamboat Drive and Confetti Blush Drive Old Town

Lying in Land Lot 270 19th District Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia dated

June 6, 2017" by Moon, Meeks, Mason, & Vinson, Inc., recorded in Plat Book 165,

Page 156, Muscogee County, Georgia Records.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until

maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all

dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendation/Actions: Approval is requested to accept that portion of

Dreamboat Drive and that portion of Confetti Blush Drive located in Old Town

Right-of-way survey part of Dreamboat Drive and Confetti Blush Drive.



















A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO APPROVE AND ACCEPT A DEED TO THAT

PORTION OF DREAMBOAT DRIVE AND THAT PORTION OF CONFETTI BLUSH DRIVE LOCATED IN

OLD TOWN, RIGHT-OF-WAY SURVEY PART OF DREAMBOAT DRIVE AND CONFETTI BLUSH DRIVE

ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.



WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that

portion of Dreamboat Drive and that portion of Confetti Blush Drive located in

Old Town, Right-of-way survey part of Dreamboat Drive and Confetti Blush Drive

on behalf of Columbus, Georgia, a full description of property on said deed;

and,



WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,



WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and

recommends acceptance of same.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS

FOLLOWS:



That certain deed dated June 6 2017, conveying Columbus, Georgia, that

portion of Dreamboat Drive and that portion of Confetti Blush Drive located in

Old Town, Right-of-way survey part of Dreamboat Drive and Confetti Blush Drive

be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized

to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Deed Records in the

Office of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of the deed is

hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
