Board Meeting Minutes
November 7, 2012

A meeting of the Land Bank Authority Board was held on November 7, 2012 in the
Deputy City Manager?s Conference Room at the CCG Annex Building.
Members Present: Thomas Gristina Justin Krieg

Call to Order/Establish Quorum
Board Chair Justin Krieg called the meeting to order. A quorum was present.
Approval of Minutes October 2012
Board Member Thomas Gristina made a motion to approve the October 2012 Minutes.
Board Member Lance Hemmings seconded the motion. The motion passed.
In-Rem Property Purchases
The Land Bank Authority successfully bid on 6 of the 10 properties at the Tax
Sale. There was a brief discussion on how to market the properties acquired in
East Highlands. Habitat for Humanity and NeighborWorks were both given a copy
of the list of properties when The Land Bank Authority originally identified
the properties.
414 8th Street Property
The City owns this property located in the Liberty Historic District. The City
wants to transfer it to The Land Bank Authority. Habitat for Humanity has
expressed a definite interest in acquiring the property from The Land Bank
Authority after the transfer. There is a Federal process that has to be adhered
to requiring Habitat for Humanity to submit documentation to Atlanta before the
City can make the transfer to The Land Bank Authority. Once the documentation
has been submitted and approved, the City can begin the transfer process.

Old/New Business
The Land Bank Authority has acquired the property at 5836 Pratt Avenue. There
was discussion on how to market this property for resale. Board Member Lance
Hemmings suggested doing a sealed bid process. Justin Krieg will send an email
to Board Member Carson Cummings for ideas on the Pratt Avenue property sale.
The Board will have further discussion at the next Board Meeting.
Board Chair Justin Krieg said he has the bio-sketch for the newest Board
Member, Steve Anthony and Mr. Anthony will be at the next meeting.
Board Member Lance Hemmings has been trying to contact John Creech regarding
serving on The Land Bank Authority Board. Board Member Lance Hemmings will
continue to try to contact Mr. Creech.
Board Chair Justin Krieg commented that he hopes to have the additional members
needed by the January 2, 2013 Board Meeting.
The next Land Bank Authority Board Meeting will be on Wednesday, December 5,
2012.
