(1) 2nd Reading ? Property located at 716 29th Street is proposed for rezoning

from RMF2 (Residential Multi-Family 2) District to GC (General Commercial)

District. (37-A-07-Burdick) (Councilor McDaniel) The proposed use is

same/retail. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department

recommend approval.





(2) 2nd Reading ? Property located at 6800 Macon Road is proposed for

rezoning from LMI (Light Manufacturing/Industrial) District to RO

(Residential-Office) District. (38-A-07-Hocutt) (Councilor McDaniel) The

proposed use is apartments. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning

Department recommend approval.





(3) GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS - LOCAL ASSISTANCE GRANTS:



Authorization is requested to accept responsibility as Pass-Through

Agency for the Georgia Department of Community Affairs Local Assistance Grants

in the amount of $85,000 approved by the Georgia State General Assembly for

(4) GEORGIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (GEMA) TERRORISM PREVENTION

GRANT:



Authorization is requested to submit an application and if approved

accept a grant of $195,875 from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency for the

Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program to purchase equipment, materials

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit is scheduled at 3:30 PM (Eastern) on

Thursday, August 30, 2007. Vendors shall convene in the Conference Room of the

Finance Department/Purchasing Division, which is located at 100 Tenth St,

Columbus, GA. Vendors will be allowed a 10-minute grace period. Any vendor

who is not present in the Finance Conference Room within 10 minutes after the

time slated for the beginning of the mandatory pre-bid conference/site visit

shall not be allowed to participate any further in the bid process.

1. Legal Counsel of Record for the Department of Community Reinvestment (Annual

Scope of RFP

Provide Columbus Consolidated Government with professional legal services

involving land acquisition and disposition, in addition to other programs

required of the Department of Community Reinvestment, on an ?as needed basis?.

Contract term shall be for two years with the option to renew for three (3)

additional twelve-month periods. Contract renewal will be contingent upon the

mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor.

Spectacle Kit for FR-M40 mask to be used by the Columbus Police Department.

Scope of Bid

Vendors are requested to provide pricing for only the community weather

station network itself and/or provide the pricing for the provision and

installation of the community weather station network. The network will

consist of eight (8) weather stations and will be used by the Departments of

Engineering and Fire/EMS.



3. 1-Ton Crew Cab, 4x4 Dually Pickup Truck ? RFP No. 08-0008

Scope of Bid

Provide one (1) 1-ton crew cab, 4x4 dually pickup truck to be used by

the Columbus Office of Homeland Security.
