CITY MANAGER'S AGENDA

I. DEPUTY CITY MANAGER OF FINANCE, PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT:



Authorization is requested for the appointment of Pam Hodge as Deputy City

Manager of Finance, Planning and Development. A resolution and resume are

attached.





II. FY16 HOLIDAY SCHEDULE AMENDMENT:



Authorization is requested that the FY16 Holiday Schedule be revised

designating the Independence Day holiday as Friday, July 3, 2015 instead of

Monday, July 6, 2015. A resolution and resolution number 20-15 are attached.





III. RESIDENTIAL LOT ACCESS TO COLLECTOR - GARRETT ROAD:



Authorization is requested for a variance to Section 7.9.2.B of the

City Code for limited residential access along the Garrett Road for Garrett

Creek Addition Phase 3. The Department of Engineering has reviewed the request

and recommends that a variance be granted. A resolution and agenda report are

attached.





IV. SOCIETY OF MUNICIPAL ARBORISTS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:



Authorization is requested to execute a Program Agreement with the

Society of Municipal Arborists (SMA) to provide a summer internship in CCG's

Department of Public Works Urban Forestry Division for ten (10) weeks. The

Multi-Governmental fund would be amended to reflect the receipt of a grant from

the US Forest Service in the amount of $4,800, to be matched by a CCG grant in

the amount of $367.20. An agenda report, agreement and resolution are

attached.





V. ADULT FELONY DRUG COURT:



Authorization is requested to submit an application, and if approved,

accept $322,839 or as otherwise awarded from the Criminal Justice Coordinating

Council for the operation of the Muscogee County Adult Felony Drug Court, from

July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 and to amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by

$374,623 or as otherwise awarded. An agenda report and resolution are attached.





VI. JUVENILE JUSTICE INCENTIVE GRANT PROGRAM:



Authorization is requested to submit a grant application, for the

existing program, and if approved, accept funds up to $750,000 from the

Criminal Justice Coordinating Council for the operation of the Muscogee County

Juvenile Court, amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by the amount of the grant

award and continue the contract with Evidence Based Associates, LLC for the

period of the grant from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. An agenda report and

VII. JUVENILE JUSTICE INCENTIVE GRANT-ADDITIONAL FUNDING:



Authorization is requested to submit a grant application, and if

approved, accept additional funds in the amount of $17,895 from the Criminal

Justice Coordinating Council for the operation of the Muscogee County Juvenile

Court, amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by the amount of the grant award for

the current grant period of July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015. An agenda report

and resolution are attached.





VIII. MATERNAL, INFANT, AND EARLY CHILDHOOD HOME VISITATION PROGRAM:



Authorization is requested to enter into a contract with the University

of Georgia to reimburse expenditures incurred or to be incurred from October 1,

2014 until May 30, 2015 for the continuation of the Maternal, Infant, and Early

Childhood Home Visitation Program until the University of Georgia assumes all

expenditures on June 1, and to amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by the amount

of the contract, or as otherwise amended. UGA will reimburse the Columbus

Consolidated Government for an expected maximum of $50,000 for such

expenditures, with no local match required, and to rescind resolutions 258-14

and 259-14. An agenda report and resolution are attached.

Scope of RFP

Requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide exclusive soft drink

concession for the Columbus Consolidated Government Civic Center and Ice Rink.



2. Tennis Court Surfacing Supplies (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 15-0027

Scope of Bid

Provide tennis court surfacing supplies to include Magnesium Chloride

and Har Tru Rubico Surface for Columbus Consolidated Government, Parks and

Recreation Department. Contract term shall be for one year with the option to

renew for four (4) additional twelve-month periods.
