I read that he who is to be the greatest among you must be your servant, and as
I grow in age and wisdom I recognize that more and more. To make a profound
impact and leave an indelible imprint as history is recorded, more ordinary
people are going to have to step up to do out of the ordinary things, like be a
servant to the people. I offer my self to serve my community because I am
compelled to walk the talk and do what I am first trying to instill in my own
son and secondly the countless children I encounter during mentoring activities
with Kappa Junior League or in SaMarc Learning Centers. I wholeheartedly
believe that in order to affect change you must become the change you want to
see. I offer myself to serve in this capacity because it is where my interest
and expertise lie. It is where I can see myself joining the ranks and
collaborating with seasoned members to make a difference, improve upon a well
laid foundation and provide new, innovative, enriching and rewarding
opportunities and experiences to make golfing at our city facilities the top
choice for golfers living in or visiting the great city of Columbus.
