TO: Mayor and Council

SUBJECT: FY 2018 Local Government & Improvement Grant (LMIG)

Background: LMIG is the GDOT program that replaced the County Contracts for

GDOT in order to receive the funds and proceed with the projects. The Ft

Benning Road Roundabout is scheduled to bid in the first quarter of 2018.

Financial Considerations: $800,000 will be used for the completion of the

Forrest Road Widening Project. The remainder of the funds, $1,279,905.58 will

be used toward the Ft Benning Road Roundabout.

Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: These roads will become part of the

annual operating/capital budget for normal maintenance.
