A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION USE TO PERMIT AMBULANCE SERVICES IN
A NC (NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL) ZONE LOCATED AT 3623 CALVIN DRIVE.
WHEREAS, Mr. George Mize has appropriately applied for a Special Exception Use
to permit ambulance services, on the property described above;
WHEREAS, ambulance services, are permitted solely as a Special Exception Use
under the current NC (Neighborhood Commercial) zoning district;
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has reviewed the request and recommends
conditional approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Section 10.2.7.B have been met and that a
Special Exception Use for ambulance services be granted for the property at
3623 Calvin Drive.
That the property described above shall be subject to the following
conditions: 1) There shall be no lights and siren until the ambulance reaches
Warm Springs Road 2) There shall be no north turn (left turn) out of the
driveway by any ambulance exciting the subject property unless there is a call
to the Neighborhood 3) there shall be a minimum 8 foot wide vegetative buffer
consisting of trees and shrubs provided along the property lines bordered by
residential zoned property.
