A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, the 14th Annual White Cane Program in recognition of our blind and
visually impaired veterans and citizens will be held on Tuesday, October 24,
2006 at the Veterans Administration Campus in Tuskegee, Alabama;
WHEREAS, the event will feature presentations by members of the Alabama
Blinded Veterans Association (BVA) and the Georgia Regional Group BVA;
WHEREAS, the program offers a network of services to aid visually impaired and
blind veterans and citizens;
WHEREAS, this Council desires to support the activities of the Alabama BVA and
the Georgia Regional Group BVA.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We commend and congratulate the Blinded Veterans Association, Georgia Regional
Group and Alabama BVA upon hosting the 14th Annual White Cane Program at the
Veterans Administration in Tuskegee, Alabama. The program serves as a valuable
tool to assist our blind and visually impaired veterans and citizens. Let a
copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Cheryl Love, Mr. Arthur Lawrence
and Mr. Charles R. Davis of the Blinded Veterans Association.

24th day of October, 2006, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
