I. GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - HIGH PRIORITY PROJECT (HPP) FUNDING

FOR CONSTRUCTION RESTROOMS ON THE RIVERWALK:



Authorization is requested to enter into an agreement with the Georgia

Department of Transportation to accept a High Priority Project (HPP) grant for

$195,088.80 with a 20% local match of $48,772.80 for total grant amount of

$243,861.60. Authorization is also being requested to accept a $10,000 grant

from Uptown Columbus for this project, which will leave a remaining balance of

$38,772.20 for construction of restrooms on the RiverWalk under the Martin

II. FY2015 GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - PLANNING CONTRACT:



Authorization is requested to execute a contract with the Georgia Department of

Transportation for Financial Assistance to carry out the FY 2015 Transportation

Planning Work Activities of the Columbus-Phenix City Transportation Study for

$250,882.19 plus 20% match of $62,720.55 for a total amount of $313,602.74. An

III. FY2015 FAMILY CONNECTION GRANT:



Authorization is requested to submit an application and, if approved, accept a

$45,000, or as otherwise awarded, from the Georgia Department of Human Services

to continue Columbus, Georgia as a Family Connection community. An agenda

IV. FORREST ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT- CONDEMNATION PARCEL 13 - 5759 FORREST

ROAD:



Authorization is requested for the acquisition of Parcel 13, 5759 Forrest Road

for the Forrest Road Improvement Project totaling 0.01 acres +/- of

right-of-way, plus a Temporary Construction Easement of 0.04 for County Road

and/or Municipal Street purposes and authorizing filing of a Declaration of

Taking by the City Attorney or his representative for acquisition of said

V. FORREST ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - CONDEMNATION PARCEL 14 - 2807 DOYLE

AVENUE:



Authorization is requested for the acquisition of Parcel 14, 2807 Doyle Avenue,

for the Forrest Road Improvement Project totaling 0.02 acres +/- of Temporary

Construction Easement for County Road and/or Municipal Street purposes and

authorizing filing of a Declaration of Taking by the City Attorney or his

way, plus a Temporary Construction Easement totaling 0.013 acres +/- for a

County Road and/or Municipal Street purposes and authorizing the filing of a

Declaration of Taking by the City Attorney or his representatives for the

Authorization is requested for the acquisition of Parcel 43, 2019 Arrow Point

Lane, for the Forrest Road Improvement Project, Muscogee County totaling 0.004

acres +/- of Temporary Construction Easement for County Road and/or Municipal

Street purposes, and authorizing the filing of a Declaration of Taking by the

City Attorney or his representatives for the acquisition of said land under the

authority of the official code of Georgia annotated, Section 32-3-1 et.seq for

1. Diesel Fuel Dispenser ? PQ No. 14-0002

Scope of PQ

The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking vendors to provide one (1)

diesel fuel dispenser with hoses and pump. Vendor will be required to remove

the existing dispenser and ? HP red jacket submerge pump, and install the new

fuel dispenser, red jacket submerge pump, isotrol relay box, two (2) 20? hose

and nozzle assembly and two (2) high hose hangers.

1. Economic Impact Study of the Football Classic Games: Tuskegee

University/Morehouse College and the Fountain City Classic (Fort Valley State

University/Albany State University) in Columbus, GA ? RFP No. 14-0020

A Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, June 13,

2014. *Firms shall convene in the Ground Floor Conference Room of the

Government Center, which is located at 100 Tenth Street, Columbus, GA. Firms

will be allowed a 10-minute grace period. *Any firm who is not present in the

Ground Floor Conference Room, within 10 minutes after the time slated for the

beginning of the mandatory pre-proposal conference, shall not be allowed to

participate any further in the RFP process.



*Firms that are located outside the state of Georgia may participate via

teleconference by calling 706-225-4538 at the scheduled time of the conference.

Scope of RFP

The City of Columbus along with its partners, the Columbus Convention &

Visitors Bureau, Columbus Sports Council and the Football Classics Board of

Directors is requesting from experienced economic impact forecasters,

economists, business academia, i.e. event and marketing professionals, a study

that will determine the economic impact to the new money injected into our

local economy by visitors, media, vendors, exhibitors, volunteers, sponsors,

and investors outside the community along with a quantified action plan for

improvement.
