MINUTES # 30-09
The Columbus, Georgia, Board of Tax Assessors met Monday, August 17, 2009 at
9:00AM with Chairman William Braxton, Assessor Lawton Grantham, Assessor
Richard Stallings and Assessor Ann Grantham present. Also present was Chief
Appraiser Betty J. Middleton. Assessor Pat Hunter was absent
Assessor Richard Stallings made the motion to approve Min#29-09; Assessor Ann
Grantham seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Assessor Ann Grantham made the motion to excuse Assessor Pat Hunter; Assessor
Lawton Grantham seconded the motion, motion carried.
The Board signed assessment corrections for real estate.
Met with Commercial Division Manager Linda King, reviewed and approved the
following:

5(NC)
2009 Map Split: 1
Corr to Map Split: 1
Bond: 1
The Board and Com Div Mgr Linda King discussed correspondence to the
Development Authority concerning Development Authority revenue bonds.
Met with Personal Property Division Manager Oliver Juhan, reviewed and approved
the following:

Assessment Correction: 6(-)

Per Prop Div Mgr Oliver Juhan discussed with the Board his concerns regarding
the upcoming Board of Equalization hearings.
Chief Appraiser Betty Middleton apprised the Board of the results of two emails
received, which had been shared with them.
