I. CONDEMNATION OF PARCELS 7, 8, AND 9 - WHITTLESEY ROAD WIDENING PROJECT:



Authorization is requested for the acquisition of Parcels 7, 8, and 9

at 1725 Whittlesey Road for the Whittlesey Road Widening Project. Parcels 7, 8

and 9 consists of 0.334 =/- acres for Right of Way and 0.291 Acres for

Construction Easement for County Road and/or Municipal Street purposes, and

authorize the filing of a Declaration of Taking. An agenda report, map and

1. EOD Robot ? RFB No. 10-0022

Scope of RFB

Provide one EOD Robot (ICOR Technology MK3 ? Caliber? or equivalent) to be used

by the Columbus Office of Homeland Security. It shall have applications for

both EOD and SWAT missions.



December 16, 2009

1. Columbus Ice Rink ? RFB No. 10-0027

Provide construction services for Columbus Ice Rink, which will be located at

400 4th Street. The project consists of approximately 37,000 square feet of

practice ice rink with locker rooms, concessions, offices, pro shop, storage,

and toilet facilities adjacent to the Columbus Civic Center. Ice rink

refrigeration will tie to existing chiller in the Civic Center. The Owner has

already negotiated the ice installation. The building is a steel structure,

steel (long and short span) joists, slab on grade with masonry walls (both CMU

and brick) and metal stud partitions, curtain wall systems, and metal panel

wall systems and pre-cast concrete. Roofing is a single layer PVC roof system

with rooftop HVAC units. Dehumidification and air conditioning is provided.



Contractors must include in their sealed bid a completed AIA Document A305,

Contractor?s Qualification Statement. Failure to include the document will

render contractor?s bid incomplete (see page IB-3, Section IB-09, Item 09.1).



2. Columbus M. R. Service Center Roof Replacement ? RFB No. 10-0029

Provide all labor, equipment and materials to tear off existing metal roof

panels down to techtum deck and discard, including all metal parapets. Install

(1) one layer of 2? Polyisocyanurate insulation and (1) one layer ?? approved

coverboard in approved cold adhesive, seams staggered. Install a 60 Mil

feltback PVC roof membrane with hot-air welded PVC battens to create the

appearance of a standing seam metal roof. Install new gutters and skylights.

Written requests for approval of any materials submitted on this project as

"Equals or Substitutes" for the specified material must be submitted prior to

or at the mandatory pre-bid conference/site visit (see below).

3. EOD Equipment ? RFB No. 10-0030

Scope of RFB

Provide EOD Equipment for utilization by the Columbus Office of Homeland

Security. Vendors may bid on either or both options:



Option 1: Hook and line rigging kits (ICOR or equivalent)

Option 2: Disrupter kits (Royal Arms or equivalent).



4. Tandem Vibratory Roller ? RFB No. 10-0028

Scope of RFB

Provide one Tandem Vibratory Roller to be used by the Street Repairs Division

of the Public Services Department to repair potholes in roadways. The Fleet

Manager and using department have determined the following manufacturer/model

names meet specifications: Wacker RD 11A, BOMAG BW 900-2. Vendors may bid on

one or more manufacturers.



5. Eductor Trucks ? RFP No. 10-0008

Scope of RFP

Provide three (3) Eductor Trucks for use by the Rainwater Management Division.



6. Mobile Satellite Internet System ? RFP No. 10-0009

Scope of RFP

Provide a mobile satellite Internet system for the Emergency Management

Division of the Columbus Fire and Emergency Medical Services. System is to be

installed on the mobile command vehicle to make possible functional

communications during emergencies and disasters.

1. Automated Vehicle Location System (AVL) (Annual Contract) RFP No.

10-0006

Scope of RFP

Provide a turnkey installation for a new AVL system for Department of

Transportation/METRA that matches and is functionally compatible with the

existing Motorola CAD/AVL system that is currently in use by the City?s E-9112

Dispatch Center. Contract term shall be for two years, with the option to

renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods. Contract renewal will be

contingent upon the mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor.



2. Retail Space for Park and Ride at the Warm Springs Road/Manchester

Expressway Locations (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 10-0011

Scope of RFP

The Columbus Consolidated Government seeks a retail/service business to occupy

space within the new (Rails-to-Trails) Park and Ride locations. The building,

which will have the same footprint and layout, are currently being constructed

at Manchester Expressway and Warm Springs Road (See attached site plan).

Successful respondents will provide a service or combination of services that

meet the needs of the City and surrounding market area. While the City would

prefer that the retail services be oriented around trail uses. Suggested

retail services could include but are not limited to; bike rental and retail,

convenience store (no gas sales), newsstand or other similar service.
