O R D I N A N C E S:



(1) 1st Reading ? Property located at 5550 Whittlesey Boulevard is proposed for

rezoning from GC (General Commercial), RO (Residential-Office), and SFR1

(Single Family Residential 1) zoning districts to PUD (Planned Unit

Development) zoning district. (34-A-08-Woodruff Brokerage Co.) (Councilor

McDaniel) The proposed use is retail, office, live-work and multi-family

residential. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department

recommend approval.



(2) 1st Reading ? Property located at 8150 Fortson Road is proposed for

rezoning from RE1 (Residential Estate 1) zoning district to GC (General

Commercial) zoning district. (36-A-08-Fuller) (Councilor McDaniel) The

proposed use is commercial services. The Planning Advisory Commission and the

Planning Department recommend approval.



(3) 1st Reading ? Property located at 1212 Chaplin Drive is proposed for

rezoning from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) zoning district to SFR3

(Single Family Residential 3) zoning district. (35-A-08-Ray Wright, Inc.)

(Councilor McDaniel) The proposed use is single family residential. The

Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend approval.

Columbus Park Services after 26 years of service. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh)



(5) Expressing appreciation to Mr. Earnest McCrary upon his retirement with

Columbus Water Works after 38 years of service. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh)



(6) Expressing appreciation to Mr. Alan G. Davis upon his retirement with

Columbus Fire and EMS after 31 years of service. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh)



(7) Expressing appreciation to Mr. Hubert Smith Jr. upon his retirement with

Columbus Fire and EMS after 23 years of service. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh)



(8) Expressing appreciation to Mr. John Paul Starkey upon his retirement with

Columbus Police Department after over 32 years of service. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh)



(9) Expressing appreciation to Mr. Brice D. Murrell upon his retirement with

Columbus Fire and EMS after over 26 years of service. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh)



(10) Expressing appreciation to Mr. Michael W. Overby upon his

retirement with Columbus Fire and EMS after 27 years of service. (Mayor

(11) Conveying condolences to the family of Ms. Rita V. Johnson,

employee with the Clerk of Superior Court, who passed away on March 22, 2008.
