An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government

of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at 4026 2nd Avenue from RMF1 (Residential Multi-family 1) District to

RO (Residential-Office) District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the

Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby

amended by changing the following described property from RMF1 (Residential

Multi-family 1) District to RO (Residential-Office) District:



All that lot, tract or parcel of land being situate, lying and being in the

State of Georgia, County of Muscogee, and City of Columbus, and being known and

designated as ALL OF LOT NUMBERED FOURTEEN (14), in BLOCK NUMBERED SEVENTEEN

(17) of that certain subdivision of land known as NORTH HIGHLAND LAND

IMPROVEMENT AND MANUFACTURING COMPANY property, as said lot is shown upon a map

or plat of said property made by J.L. Cowan, dated December 10, 1890 and

amended July, 1899.



Commencing at a point on the east margin of 2nd Avenue, located 300 feet north

of the northeast corner of the intersection of 2nd Avenue and 40th Street for

the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence running North and along the east margin of 2nd

Avenue, a distance of 50 feet; thence running East a distance of 150 feet;

thence running South a distance of 50 feet; thence running West a distance of

150 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.



The above-described property is being rezoned with the following condition:



(1) No direct access shall be permitted to 2nd Avenue.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on

the 14th day of March, 2006; introduced a second time at a regular meeting of

said Council held on the _____ day of _______, 2006 and adopted at

said meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
