AN ORDINANCE

An ordinance amending the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) for Columbus,
Georgia so as to amend certain sections of the Unified Development Ordinance of
the Columbus Codes to create Ambulance Service as a permitted use and
definition.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Chapter 3 of the Unified Development Ordinance is hereby amended by amending
Table 3.1.1 to read as follows:

Chapter 13 of the Unified Development Ordinance is hereby amended by amending
Section 13.1.1 to create a new definition to read as follows:
Ambulance service means emergency medical care and transportation, including
incidental storage and maintenance of vehicles.
Chapter 13 of the Unified Development Ordinance is hereby amended by amending
Section 13.1.1 to amend the definition of Dispatch agency or office to read as
follows:
Dispatch agency or office means an establishment that provides off-site
services to households and businesses using telephonic or electronic
communication, including such services as janitorial, limousine, pest control,
and taxi.
SECTION 2.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repealed.
