MEDICARE ADVANTAGE COVERAGE FOR RETIREES:



Have the staff to come up with some kind of script that will be made

available to our HR staff, as well as customer service representatives who will

be

able to outline all the benefits and coverage for our retired city employees in

their

Blue Cross/Blue Shield healthcare plan. (Request of Councilor Woodson)



Have the staff to rebroadcast the presentation that was done before the

Council

at the September 25, 2007 Work Session on the Medicare Advantage program on

CCG-TV. (Request of Councilor Anthony)

ROAD PROJECTS:



Have the staff to bring back to the Council a presentation at a Council

Work

Session on the Moon Road project, as well as other road projects. (Request of

Councilor Allen)

ENTERPRISE ZONE PROPERTY:



Have the staff to provide information as to what portion of this property

was

purchased with sales tax money, as well as bond money. When we get the

information on this property, as well as the resolution from bond counsel,

let?s

have a Work Session on this matter. (Request of Councilor Woodson) Also have

the staff to provide a response to the questions and comments made by Mr. Ken

Henson. (Request of Councilor Davis)

DEBT COLLECTION MANAGEMENT:



Have the staff to provide information as to whether or not the vendor we

are

awarding this contract to will come into Columbus and possibly sub-contract with

a firm to assist with our debt collection management. (Request of Councilor

Allen)

RENTER?S INSURANCE:



Have the staff to work with the legal staff to see what we can do, as far

as

adding something to our ordinance whenever we have new development that is

developed in our city and it becomes rental property that part of their

contract or

requirement be to suggest to the tenants that they encourage individuals to

purchase renter?s insurance for their rental property. (Request of Councilor

Woodson)

DEBT COLLECTON:



Have the staff to contact the City of Mobile to determine exactly what

they are

doing in collecting parking ticket fines through their Police Department.

OXBOW MEADOWS:



Have the staff to make sure that they respond back to Mrs. Bonner?s Fourth

Grade Class from River Road Elementary School who wrote letters to the Council

regarding their concerns with respect to Oxbow Meadows Learning Environmental

Center. (Request of Mayor Pro Tem Turner Pugh)
