A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Claimant Earl W. Ransom has filed a claim for damages based on a motor
vehicle accident which occurred on December 9, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Risk Management has investigated this claim and recommends a
settlement of $27,892.60 in exchange for a full release of all claims,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
We hereby authorize the City Manager, Risk Manager and the Finance
Director to make payment of $27,892.60 to settle all damage claims of Earl W.
Ransom stemming from a motor vehicle accident which occurred on December 9,
2016. The City Manager, Risk Manager and Finance Director or their
representatives are authorized to execute all appropriate settlement documents
to this effect.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia,
held the 31st day of January, 2017 and adopted at said meeting by the
affirmative vote of ______ members of said Council.
