I. GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY - GEORGIA TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT NETWORK

GRANT:



Authorization is requested to submit an application and, if approved, accept a

grant for $15,000 from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety for the

Marshal's Office to purchase supplies and equipment to enforce traffic laws and

educate/train the public in highway safety. An agenda report and resolution

II. GEORGIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY/GEORGIA BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION -

HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT - MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING:



Authorization is requested to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the

Georgia Emergency Management Agency and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for

five (5) Mobile Biometric Fingerprint Identification Devices (Rapid ID) for the

Columbus Police Department. An agenda report, agreement and resolution are

III. TRANSFER OF PROPERTY TO THE LAND BANK AUTHORITY:



Authorization is requested to execute a Quit Claim Deed for eight parcels

located at 2037 Cusseta Road, 502, 504 and 514 20th Avenue, 2044, 2046, 2048

and 2050 Mason Street in the Enterprise Zone to the Land Bank Authority of

Columbus, Georgia to develop and promote for the public good and general

welfare by returning land which is in a non-revenue-generating,

non-tax-producing status to a tax producing status. An agenda report, map and

IV. CHILD CARE PROVIDER AGREEMENT:



Authorization is requested to enter into a Child Care Provider Agreement with

the Division of Family and Children Services of the Department of Human

Services, who operates the Georgia Child Care and Parent Services Program.

This program provides eligible children with child care subsidies for camps and

before/after school care. An agenda report, map and resolution are attached.

1. Wilson Camp (Satilla) Landfill Closure ? RFB No. 11-0049

Scope of Bid

The project shall consist of the construction and installation of the polymeric

marine mattress, clearing and grubbing, re-grading of slopes, disposal of waste

material excavated, providing and placement of soils for 24-inch final cover,

permanent grassing, erosion and sedimentation measures, permanent access road

construction, and resurfacing and repairing the existing asphalt.



2. Irrigation for Rest Stops on Bike Trail ? RFB No. 11-0065

Scope of Bid

Provide irrigation services for the Bike Trail rest stops at the Warm Springs

Road site and the Manchester Expressway site. The contractor is responsible

for all meter fees associated with this project, and shall complete the work in

accordance with all Columbus Water Works specifications for backflow preventers

and vaults.

3. Various Types of Patches & Emblems (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 11-0051

Scope of Bid

Provide various types of patches and emblems on an ?as needed basis? to the

Public Services Department, Columbus Fire & EMS Department, Columbus Police

Department, the Marshal?s Department, the Sheriff?s Department, Metra Transit

and Muscogee County Prison. The contract period will be for three years with

the option to renew for two additional twelve-month periods.



4. Hydraulic Excavator ? RFB No. 11-0059

Scope of Bid

Provide one (1) hydraulic excavator to be used by the Rainwater Division of the

Public Services Department.



5. Britt David Concession Stand Improvements ? RFB No. 11-0066

Scope of Bid

Provide improvements to the concession stand at Britt David Park, which is

located at 2700 West Britt David Road, Columbus, GA. The work includes (but

is not limited to) pressure washing, replacing and painting exterior wood;

pressure washing and resealing any holes in the exterior concrete; and

resealing windows, and doors.



6. Fall Line Trace ? Sign Enhancement Project ? RFB No. 11-0060

Scope of Bid

Provide sign enhancement at the recently constructed Fall Line Trace (Warm

Springs Road Walking Trail). The work includes way-finding signs, brick pillar

gateways, brick pillars with and without solar panels, entrance signs, logo

signs, mile marker signs, landscaping, concrete split median, complete signal

work, pavement marking, pedestrian guardrail, playground equipment, concrete

flatwork, and park benches & trash receptacles.
