A Resolution canceling the regular Council meeting scheduled
for December 22, 2009, and changing the December 29, 2009 Consent Agenda/Work
Session to a regular Council Meeting.
WHEREAS, regular Council meetings shall commence at the time or times as
set forth in the rules of procedures by the Council of Columbus, Georgia; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3-103 of the Charter, the Council may,
by a majority vote of the Council at least seven days prior to the meeting
cancel a regularly scheduled meeting.
WHEREAS, Thursday & Friday, December 24 & 25, 2009 will be a
holiday for the employees of the Columbus Consolidated Government; and,
WHEREAS, the business of the Columbus Consolidated Government can be
properly conducted without the necessity of a Council meeting on Tuesday,
December 22, 2009; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
That the regular Council meeting scheduled for December 22, 2009 at 9:00
a.m. is hereby cancelled; as well as the Consent Agenda/Work Session of the
Council of Columbus, Georgia scheduled for Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 5:30
p.m., is hereby changed to a regular Council Meeting.

Introduced and read at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus,
Georgia held on the 10th day of November 2009 and adopted at said meeting by
the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
