SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Nicole Court in Billings Crossing II
INITIATED BY: Engineering Department
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Nicole
Court located in Billings Crossing II.
Background: Nicole Court located in Billings Crossing II has Twelve
(12) residential lots. This street has been improved and meets specifications
for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Nicole Court located
in Billings Crossing II. A description of the property is as follows: All
those tracts and parcels of land situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee
County, Georgia, and comprising of all of Nicole Court in that certain
subdivision known as Billings Crossing II, as said street is shown upon a map
or plat of said subdivision entitled Billings Crossing II, dated January 14,
2014, made by Hobbs Smith & Assoc., Inc.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the acceptance of Nicole Court located in
Billings Crossing II.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO NICOLE COURT LOCATED IN
BILLINGS CROSSING II ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Nicole Court
located in Billings Crossing II, a full description of property on said deed;
and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated February 11, 2014, conveying to Columbus,
Georgia, Nicole Court located in Billings Crossing II, and the same is hereby
accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded
in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee
County, Georgia. A copy is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of
this resolution.
