AN ORDINANCE

An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 2221 and 2311 Manchester Expressway from NC (Neighborhood
Commercial) District to GC (General Commercial) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from NC (Neighborhood
Commercial) District to GC (General Commercial) District:
All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being part of Land Lot
54, 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and being more
particularly described as follows, to-wit: to reach the POINT OF BEGINNING of
the property herein described commence at the concrete monument at the
southeastern terminus of the intersection of the northern right of way of the
Columbus-Manchester Expressway and the eastern right of way of Woodruff Road,
and from said concrete monument running thence North 87 degrees 28 minutes
east, along the northern right of way of Columbus-Manchester Expressway, a
distance of 168.0 feet to a concrete monument; running thence South 85 degrees
41 minutes 26 seconds east along said northern right of way line a distance of
100.72 feet to a concrete monument; running thence North 87 degrees 28 minutes
east a distance of 217.77 feet along said northern right of way line to a iron
pin; running thence North 87 degrees 28 minutes east along said northern right
of way line a distance of 473.60 feet to an iron pin, which iron pin marks the
POINT OF BEGINNING of the property herein described; and from said POINT OF
BEGINNING running thence North 02 degrees 32 minutes West a distance of 175
feet to an iron pin; running thence North 87 degrees 28 minutes east a distance
of 100.0 feet to an iron pin; running thence South 02 degrees 32 minutes east a
distance of 175.0 feet to an iron pin located on the northern right of way line
of the said Columbus-Manchester Expressway; running thence South 87 degrees 28
minutes west along said northern right of way line a distance of 100.0 feet to
the iron pin which marks the POINT OF BEGINNING of the property herein
described.
The above described property is identified as "Lot 1" on that certain surveyor
map thereof entitled "Survey of Lots 1 & 2, Property of Home Federal Savings
and Loan Assn., Lying in Land Lot 54, 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County,
Georgia" dated October 20, 1992, prepared by Moon, Meeks & Patrick, Inc., and
recorded in Plat Book 120 Folio 95 in the office of the Clerk of Superior
Court, Muscogee County, Georgia.
And
All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Part of Land
Lot 54, 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, being more
particularly described as follows, to-wit: To reach the beginning point of the
property hereinafter described commence at an concrete monument at the
intersection of the northerly side of the Columbus-Manchester Expressway and
the easterly side of Woodruff Road, and from said concrete monument run thence
North 87 degrees 28 minutes east along the northerly side of the said
Columbus-Manchester Expressway, a distance of 520 feet to the iron pin which
marks the POINT OF BEGINNING of the property hereinafter described; and
from said POINT
OF BEGINNING running thence North 02 degrees 32 minutes west a distance of 175
feet to an iron pin; thence running North 87 degrees 28 minutes east along the
southerly line of Block "M", Section 5, Winchester Subdivision a distance of
473.6 feet to an iron pin located at the northwest comer of property now or
formerly owned by W. C. Bradley Co.; thence running South 02 degrees 32 minutes
east along the west line of property now or formerly owned by W. C. Bradley Co.
a distance of 175 feet to an iron pin located on the northern side of the
Columbus-Manchester Expressway; and thence running South 87 degrees 28 minutes
west along the northern side of the said Columbus-Manchester Expressway a
distance of 473.6 feet to the iron pin which marks the POINT OF BEGINNING of
the property hereby described.
The above described property is identified as "Lot 2" and shown as such on a
survey entitled "Survey of Lots 1& 2, Property of Home Federal Savings and Loan
Assn., Lying in Land Lot 54, 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia"
prepared by Moon, Meeks & Patrick, Inc. dated October 22, 1992 and recorded in
Plat Book 120 Folio 95 in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court, Muscogee
County, Georgia.

held on the 13th day of January, 2009; introduced a second time at a regular
