A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, the Rock Youth Baseball Hit N Run Yankees, Inc. became the 2009-2010
Grand Slam Race For The Cup Points Champions for the 11-under age group in
travel ball and were presented the Grand Slam Cup at Frank Park Complex in
Panama City, Florida on July 27, 2010;
WHEREAS, the Hit N Run Yankees travel ball team, headed by manager Jerrette
Lee, participated in several Grand Slam Tournaments throughout the year,
finishing in the top three of every tournament earning enough points to win the
cup over approximately 100 other teams throughout the Southeast region,
including, the Florida Benders;
WHEREAS, the Hit N Run Yankees 11-under travel ball team also won the State of
Alabama and the 2009 USSSA World Series Qualifier Championship for the State of
Georgia and were runner up in the 2010 Grand Slam Sports Tournament Travel Ball
World Series III at Frank Park Complex, Panama City Beach, Florida on July 31,
2010;
WHEREAS, the Rock Youth Baseball Hit N Run Yankees accomplished all of these
feats with little to no budget, with many making all A?s as great young
citizens of our community which is a credit to all of the parents and
grandparents for their support.
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Rock Youth Baseball Hit N Run Yankees are
worthy of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate the Rock Youth Baseball Hit N Run Yankees
upon winning the 2009-2010 Grand Slam Race for the Cup Points Championship.
Columbus is proud of their accomplishments and we wish them every success in
the future. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Jerrette Lee II,
Essang Bassey, Chase Dennis, Andrew Jackson, Trip Day, Slayton Graham, Zachary
Smith, Jonathan Justo, Mykel Page, Juan O?Neal, Craig A. J. Apiag, David Apiag,
Kenneth Harrell, Jackson Mellenberg, Caleb Norsworthy, Keithan Goodwin,
Javarrius Liddell and Coaches Stacey Jackson, Perry Smith, Robert Page, Mark
