Authorization is requested for the confirmation of Mrs. Rachel Buice Barker as

Interim Director of Public Services. A resolution is attached. click tab for

II. QUIT CLAIM DEED ? SOUTH STADIUM DRIVE:



Authorization is requested to execute a Quit Claim Deed to the adjacent

property owners, Maple Ridge Golf Club Limited Partnership, for the unused

portions of South Stadium Drive, a segment from the west dead-end east a

distance of 166.83 feet, labeled Parcel ?A? and Parcel ?B?. An agenda report

III. QUIT CLAIM DEED ? WERNER W. BLUDAU:

Authorization is requested to execute a corrective Quit Claim Deed to Werner W.

Bludau for property identified as "Parcel 100, 0.8770 acres +/-. a portion of

407 Broadway to correct the description on that portion of the property. This

Quit Claim Deed was executed in 1975. An agenda report and resolution are

IV. ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY ? NORTH LAKE CENTRE:

Authorization is requested to accept a deed of 616 square feet of additional

right-of-way in the cul-de-sac of North Lake Drive located in North Lake

V. STREET ACCEPTANCE ? NORTH CROSSING COURT:



Authorization is requested to accept a deed to North Crossing Court located in

North Crossing. The Department of Engineering has inspected this street and

recommends the acceptance. An agenda report and resolution are attached.

VI. STREET ACCEPTANCE ? PRESERVATION COURT, PRESERVATION TRAIL, OAKHURST COURT

AND BROADLEAF LANE:



Authorization is requested to accept a deed to Preservation Court, Preservation

Trail, Oakhurst Court and that portion of Broadleaf Lane located in Section

One, Forest Lake. The Department of Engineering has inspected these streets and

recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, map and resolution are attached.

1. Grounds Maintenance Services for Gateway Projects (Annual Contract) ? RFP

Scope of RFP

Provide grounds maintenance services for various gateways/intersections

throughout Columbus. Services shall consist of weekly, monthly and yearly

maintenance routines including: fertilizing, weekly mowing, edging, weed

control, irrigation, pruning, mulching, disease and insect control, etc. The

contract term shall be for twelve months beginning July 1, 2007 through June

30, 2008, with the option to renew for four (4) additional twelve month

periods. Contract renewal shall be contingent upon the mutual agreement of the

City and the Contractor.

1. Initial Comprehensive Study for Columbus Rail Yard Relocation ? RFP No.

07-0016

Scope of RFP

The Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is soliciting competitive

sealed proposals from experienced, qualified firms to provide a comprehensive

study to characterize all relevant aspects and requirements to facilitate and

develop a project to relocate the existing rail yard on the east boundary of

Columbus, Georgia?s Central Business district (CBD). Such a relocation has

been contemplated a number of times during the last 100 years to fulfill a

variety of commercial and public revenue opportunities envisioned by the

downtown community and Consolidated Government, and to reduce several perceived

potential threats to public safety associated with continuing extensive rail

operations downtown. Projected growth of the next few years is likely to

increase the value of these opportunities. Similarly, such growth is likely to

increase the level of public risk if no relocation is selected.



2. Telephone Equipment & Cable (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 07-0068

Scope of Bid

Provide various telephone equipment and cable to the City on an ?as

needed? basis to be utilized by various departments. The contract period shall

be for two (2) years, with the option to renew for three additional

twelve-month periods.

Scope of RFP

Provide Columbus Consolidated Government with cellular phone service for City

owned cellular telephones. The services shall include establishing a rate

plan, a purchase contract and offer City employees a special rate for using the

same service provider for privately owned cellular telephones. The contract

term shall be for two years with the option to renew for three (3) additional

twelve-month periods. Contract renewal will be contingent upon the mutual

agreement of the City and the Contractor.



2. Handheld Explosive Trace Detector _ RFP No. 07-0017

Scope of RFP

Provide a handheld explosive trace detector to be used by the Columbus Office

of Homeland Security.



3. First-Class Mail Pre-Sort Services (Annual Contract) ? RFP No.

07-0019

Scope of RFP

Provide daily first-class mail pre-sort services for Columbus Consolidated

Government.

The contract term shall be for two years with the option to renew for three (3)

additional twelve-month periods. Contract renewal will be contingent upon the

mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor.



4. Internet-Based Parking/Traffic Citation Violation Payment Service

(Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 07-0020

Scope of RFP

Establish and maintain an Internet-Based Parking/Traffic Citation

Violation Payment Service to allow citizens to pay citations on line.

Scope of Bid

The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking vendors to provide

approximately twelve (12) 35? Low Floor Buses to METRA on an ?as needed

basis?. The contract term shall be for one year, with the option to renew for

four (4) additional twelve-month periods. The renewal will be based solely

upon the mutual agreement of both parties, the Columbus Consolidated Government

and the Contractor.
