REFERRALS FROM MAYOR & COUNCIL
COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 13, 2007
TO THE CITY MANAGER:
PROPOSED WILLIS ROAD REZONING:
Have the staff to find out how many fire hydrants are in the vicinity of
the
proposed rezoning for apartments on Willis Road. (Request of Councilor
Woodson)
Have our staff to look at the possibility of extending the cul-de-sac over
the
railroad tracks into the other street, which would probably alleviate some of
the
traffic problems on that street. (Request of Councilor McDaniel)
Have the staff to get together with the petitioner to determine whether or
not it
is feasible for them to flip their design; to consider putting the apartment
units on
the side that already backs up to the R-O and leave more of open area, without
having the buildings looking down into the back yard of the residents.
(Request of Councilor Henderson)

DISABLED VETERANS TAG:
Have the staff to forward the information that was provided to the Council
regarding the Disabled Veterans Tag to the Parking Management Department.
(Request of Mayor Pro Tem Turner Pugh)

WATER WORKS:
Have the staff to put the Columbus Water Works on notice of some concerns
of
citizens stating that the water bill seems to increase when we are in a time
period
where we are watching how much water is being used and when they called to
inquire about it, they were told that in order for someone to come out and look
at it,
there would be a cost for that. (Request of Councilor Woodson)
