O R D I N A N C E S:





(1) 2nd Reading - Property located at 4187 and 4211 Milgen Road, is

proposed for rezoning from LMI (Light Manufacturing Industrial) to GC (General

Commercial) Zoning District. (REZN?10-13-3346) (District 5-?Councilor Baker)

The purpose of the rezoning is for various general retail uses and a health and

fitness facility. The Planning Advisory Commission recommends approval and the

Planning Department recommends conditional approval.



(2) 2nd Reading ? Text amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance

to amend the text of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) to correct typos

and minor errors in various chapters. The Planning Advisory Commission and the

Planning Department recommend approval. (REZN-10-13-3351)



(3) 1st Reading ? Text amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance

(UDO) to amend the distance required between personal care homes, type 1 from

1,000 ft. to 750 ft. The Planning Advisory Commission recommends approval and

the Planning Department recommends denial. (REZN-10-13-3176)



(4) 1st Reading - Property located at 6450 Schomburg Road, is proposed

for rezoning from SFR1/RO (Single Family Residential/Residential Office) to RO

(Residential Office) zoning district. (REZN?10-13-3344) (District 6?Councilor

Allen) The purpose of the rezoning is for personal care home, type III;

multifamily dwellings; daycare, type III. The Planning Advisory Commission

recommends approval and the Planning Department recommends conditional

approval.



(5) 1st Reading - Property located at 1510, 1506, 1426 and 1410 6h

Avenue, is proposed for rezoning from LMI (Light Manufacturing Industrial/UPT)

(Uptown) with conditions to UPT (Uptown) with amended conditions zoning

district. (REZN?11-13-3414) (District 7?Councilor Woodson) The purpose of the

rezoning is for multifamily dwellings and offices. The Planning Advisory

Commission and the Planning Department recommend conditional approval.





R E S O L U T I O N S:





(6) A resolution requesting a Special Exception Use for a 160-feet

wireless telecommunication facility (Tower)(Monopole) located at 6401 River

Road. (RETEL Services/Kathy Kelly-Jacobs) The current zoning for the property

is NC (Neighborhood Commercial) zoning district. (District 2?Councilor Davis)

The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommends

conditional approval. (EXCP-10-13-3164)



(7) A resolution requesting a Special Exception Use to operate a private school

and to add/upgrade the ball fields associated to the school located 7620, 7600

& 7556 Old Moon Road. (Calvary Christian School/Ricky Smith) The current zoning

for the property is SFR 1 & 3 (Single Family Residential 1 & 3) zoning

district. (District 2?Councilor Davis) The Planning Advisory Commission and the

Planning Department recommend approval. (EXCP-11-13-3413)



(8) A Resolution establishing qualifying fees for county offices of the

Consolidated Government to be filled in the 2014 elections.



(9) A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with

Neighborworks to administer an owner-occupied rehab program valued at $220,000

for low income residents of the Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia in

exchange for property located at 601, 605, 609, 611 Veterans Parkway and 311

and 315 Sixth Street.
