AN ORDINANCE



AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGETS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2007 BEGINNING JULY 1,

2006 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2007, FOR CERTAIN FUNDS OF THE CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT

OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, APPROPRIATING AMOUNTS SHOWN IN EACH FUND FOR PERSONNEL

ACTIONS AND VARIOUS OTHER ACTIVITIES.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:



SECTION 1.



1. The General Fund budget in the amount of $138,210,506 for the fiscal year

beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007, is hereby adjusted for each

department for the reasons listed on the attached charts.



2. The Medical Center Fund budget in the amount of $10,605,318 for the

fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 is hereby amended

and increased by $695,630 to $11,300,948 for reasons listed on the attached

charts.



3. The Debt Service Fund budget in the amount of $7,986,539 for the fiscal

year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 is hereby amended and

increased by $22,000,000 to $29,986,539 for reasons listed on the attached

charts.



4. The Multi Gov?t Project Fund budget in the amount of $2,495,942 for the

fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 is hereby amended

and increased by $802,773 to $3,298,715 for reasons listed on the attached

charts.



5. The Economic Development Program Fund budget in the amount of $15,000 for

the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 is hereby

amended and increased by $50,946 to $65,946 for reasons listed on the attached

charts.



6. The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Fund budget in the amount of $1,499,979

for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 is hereby

amended and increased by $803,899 to $2,303,878 for reasons listed on the

attached charts.



7. The Hotel/Motel Tax Fund budget in the amount of $3,208,375 for the fiscal

year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 is hereby amended and

increased by $1,264,847 to $4,473,222 for reasons listed on the attached charts.



8. The 1999 Special Local Option Sales Tax Proceeds Account Fund budget in the

amount of $32,193,827 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending

June 30, 2007 is hereby amended and increased by $4,828,727 to $37,022,554 for

reasons listed on the attached charts.



9. The METRO Drug Task Force Fund budget in the amount of $130,000 for the

fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 is hereby amended

and increased by $25,545 to $155,545 for reasons listed on the attached charts.



10. Civic Center Fund budget in the amount of $5,545,174 for the fiscal year

beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30,2007 is herby amended and increased

by $220,075 to $5,674,249 for reasons listed on the attached charts.



11. The Economic Development Fund budget in the amount of $839,587 for fiscal

year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 is herby amended and

increased by $68,782 to $908,369 for reasons listed on the attached charts.



12. The Community Development Block Grant Fund budget in the amount of

$2,154,872 for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 is

hereby amended and increased by $2,268,097 to $4,422,969 for reasons listed on

the attached charts.



13. The Special Projects Fund budget in the amount of $3,468,945 for the fiscal

year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 is hereby amended and

increased by $4,263,501 to $7,732,446 for reasons listed on the attached charts.

SECTION 2.



All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance

are hereby repealed.



INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia,

held on the 4th day of December, 2007; introduced a second time at a regular

meeting held on the 4th day of December, 2007 and adopted at said meeting by

the affirmative vote of _____ members of said Council.
