SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - That portion of Essex Heights Court located
in Section Four, Wooldridge Heights
INITIATED BY: Engineering Department
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that
portion of Essex Heights Court located in Section Four, Wooldridge Heights.
Background: That portion of Essex Heights Court located in Section Four,
Wooldridge Heights has Thirteen (13) residential lots. The street has been
improved and meets the specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of Essex
Heights Court located in Section Four, Wooldridge Heights. A description of
property is as follows: All that tract and parcel of land situate, lying and
being in Muscogee County, Georgia and comprising of all of Essex Heights Court
in that certain subdivision known as Section Four, Wooldridge Heights, as said
street is shown upon a map or plat of said subdivision recorded in Plat Book
164, folio 201 in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee
County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the acceptance of that portion of Essex
Heights Court located in Section Four, Wooldridge Heights.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF ESSEX
HEIGHTS COURT LOCATED IN SECTION FOUR, WOOLDRIDGE HEIGHTS ON BEHALF OF
COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of
Essex Heights Court located in Section Four, Wooldridge Heights, a full
description of property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance of same; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated January 12, 2015, conveying to Columbus, Georgia, that
portion of Essex Heights Court located in Section Four, Wooldridge Heights, and
the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have
said deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior
Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, A copy is hereto attached and by this
reference made a part of this resolution.
