I. WXTX QUIT CLAIMING RADIO EQUIPMENT BUILDING:



Authorization is requested to quit claim/sale the Radio Equipment Building

located at the WXTX-TV Tower Site, 5850 Laing Street, to Southeastern Media

Holdings, Inc., (WXTX) in exchange for 23 months of lease payments and also

approve a resolution expressing appreciation for WXTX for working with the City

through the lease and the relocation of the City's prime transmission site to

the Garfield Tower Site. An agenda report two resolutions are attached. click

II. LEASE AGREEMENT AMENDMENT ? OLD SCHOOL SPORTS LEASE AGREEMENT:



Authorization is requested to amend the current lease agreement for Old School

Sports changing the name to the Columbus Indoor Football League. An agenda

report and resolution are attached. click tab for agenda report /resolution.





III. STREET ACCEPTANCE AMENDMENT ? LAKEPOINTE COURT:



Authorization is requested to amend Resolution # 505-93. Lakepointe Court was

incorrectly listed as Lakeshore Court on the resolution and deed, located in

Lakeshore Pointe Subdivision. An agenda report, map and resolution are

IV. STREET ACCEPTANCE ? SANDY BOTTOM DRIVE, SANDY VIEW DRIVE & CRESTLINE DRIVE:



Authorization is requested to accept a deed to Sandy Bottom Drive, that

portion of Sandy View Drive and that portion of Crestline Drive located in

Eighth Addition, Roosevelt Heights. The Department of Engineering has inspected

these streets and recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, map and

V. PURCHASES:



Approval is requested of items "A" thru "E": click tab for agenda report

A. Consulting Services for Update of Comprehensive Plan - (discussion will take

place on this item prior to the vote)

There will be a pre-council briefing Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at 8:00 a.m. in

the Council Chambers and a Budget Review Committee Meeting directly after

Scope of RFP

Provide Columbus Consolidated Government with cellular phone service for City

owned cellular telephones. The services shall include establishing a rate

plan, a purchase contract and offer City employees a special rate for using the

same service provider for privately owned cellular telephones. The contract

term shall be for two years with the option to renew for three (3) additional

twelve-month periods. Contract renewal will be contingent upon the mutual

agreement of the City and the Contractor.



2. Handheld Explosive Trace Detector ? RFP No. 07-0017

Scope of RFP

Provide a handheld explosive trace detector to be used by the Columbus Office

of Homeland Security.



3. First-Class Mail Pre-Sort Services (Annual Contract) ? RFP No.

07-0019

Scope of RFP

Provide daily first-class mail pre-sort services for Columbus Consolidated

Government. The contract term shall be for two years with the option to renew

for three (3) additional twelve-month periods. Contract renewal will be

contingent upon the mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor.



4. Internet-Based Parking/Traffic Citation Violation Payment Service

(Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 07-0020

Scope of RFP

Establish and maintain an Internet-Based Parking/Traffic Citation Violation

Payment Service to allow citizens to pay citations on line.

Scope of Bid

Provide various rescue equipment to be used by the Fire/EMS Department as

follows: Rescue Lifting Air Bags and Hydraulic Rescue Equipment.



2. Professional Sign Making and Erecting Services for Alcohol Beverage License

Scope of Bid

Provide professional sign making and erecting services for alcohol beverage

license applications at various locations on an ?as needed? basis to the

Columbus Consolidated Government (the City). The contract term will be for two

1. Initial Comprehensive Study for Columbus Rail Yard Relocation ? RFP No.

07-0016

Scope of RFP

The Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is soliciting competitive

sealed proposals from experienced, qualified firms to provide a comprehensive

study to characterize all relevant aspects and requirements to facilitate and

develop a project to relocate the existing rail yard on the east boundary of

Columbus, Georgia?s Central Business district (CBD). Such a relocation has

been contemplated a number of times during the last 100 years to fulfill a

variety of commercial and public revenue opportunities envisioned by the

downtown community and Consolidated Government, and to reduce several perceived

potential threats to public safety associated with continuing extensive rail

operations downtown. Projected growth of the next few years is likely to

increase the value of these opportunities. Similarly, such growth is likely to

increase the level of public risk if no relocation is selected.





June 6, 2007

1. 35? Low Floor Buses (RE-BID) (Annual Contract) RFB No. 07-0073

Scope of Bid

The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking vendors to provide

approximately twelve (12) 35? Low Floor Buses to METRA on an ?as needed

basis?. The contract term shall be for one year, with the option to renew for

four (4) additional twelve-month periods. The renewal will be based solely

upon the mutual agreement of both parties, the Columbus Consolidated Government

and the Contractor.



2. Ball Field Soil Conditioner (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 07-0076

Scope of Bid

The Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia (the City) Parks and

Recreation Division is seeking vendors to provide ball field soil conditioner.

This product is used to get the ball field ready for play after it has rained.

The contract period shall be for two (2) years, with the option to renew for

three (3) additional twelve-month periods.
