Board Meeting Minutes
June 19, 2012
A Meeting of the Community Development Advisory Council was held at the
Government Center, 1st Floor Conference Room, 100 10th Street, June 19, 2012.
Members Present: Gladys Ford, Sally Haskins, Jack Hayes, Kim Jenkins, Olive
Vidal-Kendall, Charles McDaniel, Marvin Moore,
Members Absent: Clementine Cochran, Andrea Franklin, Bernard McCrary, Claudya
Muller, Carla Thomas
CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Jack Hayes, Chair. A quorum was present.
The Minutes of the March 20, 2012 Meeting were approved as presented.
The Board welcomed two new Board Members, Olive Vidal-Kendall and Bernard
McCrary.
The Board was provided an update on the Entitlement Funding Budget that was
approved by City Council during the month of June. The budget was adopted as
submitted by the Board.
The Board was provided an updated on the status of the submission to HUD of the
City?s FY 2013 Annual Action Plan and Amendments to the NSP1 and 3 programs.
HUD will review the documents for approval.
The Board was provided an updated on the status of the HPRP Stimulus Grant.
The purpose of the grant was to provided assistance to individuals at risk of
homelessness due to the current economic conditions. As of the end of May
2012, all of the funds budgeted for assistance had been expended.
