SUBJECT: Donation of Dug Out Covers for Britt David Park
INITIATED BY: Parks and Recreation
Recommendation: Approval is requested to accept 8 dugout covers from Pioneer
Little League for Britt David Park.
Background: The dugout covers are being donated for use at Britt David Park by
all little league participants. The approximate cost for all covers is
$28,500.00.
Analysis: Parks and Recreation is requesting to receive these dug out covers
for use at Britt David Park.
Financial Considerations: This will be at no cost to the City as it is a
private donation.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: None is expected.
Legal Considerations: Council must approve this action.
Recommendations/Actions: Approve the donation of eight dugout covers to be
used by all little league players who play at Britt David Park.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO APPROVE AND ACCEPT THE DONATION OF EIGHT
DUGOUT COVERS TO BE PLACED ON THE DUGOUTS AT BRITT DAVID LITTLE LEAGUE BALL
FIELDS.
WHEREAS, Pioneer has requested to donate eight dugout covers for use at Britt
David Little League Fields; and,
WHEREAS, having these dugout covers will protect the children and the benches
from unforeseen weather issues; and,
WHEREAS, having these dugouts covers will improve the appearance of Britt David
Little League ball fields.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to accept
eight (8) dug out covers for use at Britt David Little League Ballfields.
