SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - that portion of Ivy Ridge Drive, that
portion of Ivy Patch Drive
and that portion of Boston Ivy Lane located in Section Eight Phase
Two, Ivy Park

Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of portion of Ivy
Ridge Drive, portion of Ivy Patch Drive and portion of Boston Ivy Lane located
in Section Eight Phase Two, Ivy Park
Background: That portion of Ivy Ridge Drive, that portion of Ivy Patch Drive
and that portion of Boston Ivy Lane located in Section Eight Phase Two, Ivy
Park has twenty-two (22) residential lots. The streets have been improved and
meet the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the city conveying that portion of Ivy
Ridge Drive, that portion of Ivy Patch Drive and that portion of Boston Ivy
Lane located in Section Eight Phase Two, Ivy Park. A description of the
property is as follows: All those lots, tracts and parcels of land lying and
being in Part of Land Lots 233 and 234, of the 19th District, Columbus,
Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as those portions of Ivy Ridge Drive,
Boston Ivy Lane and Ivy Patch Drive extending into Section Eight, Phase Two,
Ivy Park as said roads and rights-of-way are shown on the map or plat entitled
"Section Eight, Phase Two, Ivy Park, Part of Land Lot 233 & 234, 19th District,
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Hobbs, Smith & Assoc., Inc.,
dated January 4, 2010, said plat recorded in Plat Book 162, page 183, in the
Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to that
portion of Ivy Ridge Drive, that portion of Ivy Patch Drive and that portion of
Boston Ivy Lane located in Section Eight Phase Two, Ivy Park
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF IVY RIDGE
DRIVE, THAT PORTION OF IVY PATCH DRIVE AND THAT PORTION OF BOSTON IVY LANE
LOCATED IN SECTION EIGHT PHASE TWO, IVY PARK ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of
Ivy Ridge Drive, that portion of Ivy Patch Drive and that portion of Boston Ivy
Lane located in Section Eight Phase Two, Ivy Park, a full description of
property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated February 23, 2010, conveying to Columbus,
Georgia that portion of Ivy Ridge Drive, that portion of Ivy Patch Drive and
that portion of Boston Ivy Lane located in Section Eight Phase Two, Ivy Park be
and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to
have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of
Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of the deed is hereto
attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
