April 15, 2010



Board Members

Present: Sam Wetzel, Sharon Pierce, Jonathan Smart, Shondwella Ellis, Mildred

King, Addie Cunningham

Civic Center Director: Dale Hester

Others Present: Robin Walker, Brian Giffin, Lisa Thomas-Cutts, Kevin Lorms,

Meeting called to order at 10:30 am



Open Remarks: Sam

Welcomed and thanked everyone for coming. Introduced New Board member Addie

Cunningham.

Sam ask about ticket sale for boxing event and reason for cancellation.



Finance: Dale

Reports presented and reviewed.

Sharon- did we do well with Spring Fling. Dale ? I think we did ok considering

it was Easter weekend.



Marketing: Robin

Speaking on the Spring fling. We all enjoyed working with this carnival and

will have them back next year. It will be the same weekend next year but will

not fall on Easter.

We have the fall Fair coming up which is our big one. We have a new carnival

company with that. It is Dixie Land Carnival Company out of Phenix City. We are

excited about that because they are local. I will meet with them next week.

Review of up coming event sheet. Gary Allen, WWE, ZZ Top, Lions football, Rock

Pop Masters.

E-mail data base we are up to 26,000 e-mail address? and Face book has 3500 fans

To Do section of the Ledger-Enquirer and Television advertisements.

Ledger is starting e-mail blast.

Public skating season is winding.

Working on Spring Fling as well as upcoming events.





Operations Brian:

Started on summer building maintenance.

Getting equipment list together for new ice rink. Center?



Box Office Lisa:

We are staying busy. We have two up coming on sales, one being Pop Rock Masters

and the other Gary Allen on Saturday. May 8th Professional Boxing will go on

sale.

We are working on Disney. The school show is doing well. Robert- do we promote

Disney or someone else? Dale- Feld Entertainment does that.



Centerplate Kevin:

We had a great March.

Biggest push coming up is Military night with Lions. We will have a buffet,

expecting 1600 recruits.

Robert- is beer available? Kevin- beer is available; recruits in uniform can?t

buy beer. They do buy sweets, drinks and other items. We have plenty for them

to choose from.



Director Dale:

Robin, Jennifer, Lisa and Brian were in charge of the Spring Fling and I think

they did a wonderful job.

Construction on Ice Rink is on schedule.

Brian and I are scheduled for a conference next month. ISI in Las Vegas.
