I. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ? HISTORIC LINWOOD FOUNDATION, INC.:



Approval is requested to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Historic

Linwood Foundation, Inc., defining the responsibilities of the City and the

Historic Linwood Foundation in the management of the Chapel. An agenda report

and resolution are attached.





II. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING - TREES COLUMBUS, INC.:



Authorization is requested to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

with Trees Columbus, Inc., for the acceptance of Transportation Enhancement

funds from the Georgia Department of Transportation to improve the streetscape

and landscaping for Veterans Parkway, from Victory Drive to 13th Street. An

agenda report and resolution are attached.





III. MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) - GEORGIA ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION DIVISION:



Authorization is requested to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the

Georgia Department of Natural Resources Environmental Protection Branch

Floodplain Management Unit for floodplain mapping. An agenda report and

resolution are attached.





IV. GRANT - BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE - CRISIS INTERVENTION TEAM:



Authorization is requested to submit an application and if approved, accept

funds from the Bureau of Justice Assistance for a Crisis Intervention Team

(CIT) for pre-booking diversion program for individuals with mental illness and

for New Horizons to act as sole source vendor in the implementation of this

grant. An agenda report and resolution are attached.





V. GRANT - GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION:



Authorization is requested to accept funds in the amount of $800,000 from the

Georgia Department of Transportation for FY 2006 and 2007 Transportation

Enhancement funds for the construction of the Chattahoochee Riverwalk from 13th

Street to 14th Street pedestrian bridge. An agenda report and resolution are

attached.

VI. GRANT - MUSCOGEE COUNTY SMART START COLLABORATIVE:



Authorization is requested to accept a grant of $24,500 from the Muscogee

County Smart Start Collaborative to fund a parenting, training and technical

assistance program to educate parents and childcare providers. An agenda report

and resolution are attached.





VII. QUIT CLAIM DEED - SOUTHERN STREET:



Authorization is requested to declare the portion of street between Comer

Avenue and 11th Ave as surplus and execute a Quit Claim Deed to adjacent

property owner(s) for said property. An agenda report, map and resolution are

attached.





VIII. STREET ACCEPTANCE ? IVY PARK DRIVE AND ENGLISH IVY DRIVE:



Authorization is requested to accept a deed to Ivy Park Drive and English Ivy

Drive located in Phase I, Ivy Park. The Department of Engineering has inspected

these streets and recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, map and

resolution are attached.

1. Long Distance Telephone Services (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 06-0015

Scope of RFP

Provide Columbus Consolidated Government with long distance telephone services.

The initial term of the contract shall be for two years beginning July 1, 2006,

with the option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods.

Contract renewal will be contingent upon the mutual agreement of the City and

the Contractor.

1. Back Support Safety Belts & Safety Vests (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 06-0085

Scope of Bid

Provide approximately 200 back support safety belts and approximately

3,000 safety vests to Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) on an "as

needed" basis. The contract term will be for two years, with the option to

renew for three additional twelve-month periods.
