Dear Councilors:
Attached are the Citi-Serv audits on the Tax Assessor's Office and the Police
Department. We have been meeting with the Tax Assessor's Board and its lawyer,
Randy Lomax, for many weeks and feel a joint plan of action is near. Once they
have determined their recommended course, we will bring the matter to Council.
Also, the Chief and I have been meeting on the recommendations regarding CPD.
We would like to move forward with three separate city Zones. We continue to
work on this with the Finance Director and will hopefully have a proposal to
you all sometime after the first of the year. In the meantime, I thought you
may want to read the entire reports, We will present the audits formally once
we have had an opportunity to develop how those departments suggest we move
forward giving the recommendations. Let me know if there are any questions.
L:iz - Please put a copy in Council's packets. Thanks.
