I. Call to orderDr. Carroll called the Columbus Board of Health to order at

II. Approval of MinutesDr. Carroll asked if there were any questions or
comments on the previous minutes received (April 22, 2009). Dr. Carroll asked
for a motion to approve the minutes. A motion was made by Dr. Jarrell, seconded
by Ms. Dozier and approved by those members present. None
III. Excused AbsencesDr. Carroll stated there were no Excused Absences for the
meeting. NoneNone
IV. Financial ReportDr. Carroll asked Joanne Strickland to present the
financial report to the Board.Ms. Strickland stated that the financials are on
target and there are no issues.None

VI. New BusinessDr. Carroll asked for any New Business. Antonio Lawrence,
District Clinical Services introduced Sister Judy Jones to the Board and
announced that she had received the Disabilities Day Columbus 2009 Employee of
the Year Award. NoneNone
VII. Equipment NoneNoneNone
VIII. District Health Director?s ReportDr. Carroll asked Dr. Koppanyi for the
Director?s Report. Dr. Koppanyi stated that the Annual Sellers-McCroan Meeting
will be held on June 12th in Atlanta. Nothing has been officially received
regarding the move over to Community Health. There was a concern regarding IT
and changes that have been made at the State level. There was a brief
discussion regarding equipment bought with local monies and the State Self
Insured funds. NoneNone
IX. Nursing Report Dr. Carroll asked Ms. Albritton for the Nursing Report.
Ms. Albritton stated there have been no flu cases in our District. The closest
case was in the LaGrange area.

X. PIODr. Carroll asked Pam Fair for a report. Ms. Fair stated there were
twenty-seven(27) confirmed cases of H1N1 in Georgia. The State Lab can do
testing on speciums for EPI purposes not diagnostic purposes.

XII. PresentationDr. Carroll called on Ms. Brenda Forman, Nutrition Service
Director/WIC to present the presentation to the Board. NoneNone
