SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - English Ivy Court and That Portion of

English Ivy Drive located in Section Five Phase One, Ivy Park



INITIATED BY: Engineering







Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of English Ivy

Court and that portion of English Ivy Drive located in Section Five Phase One,

Ivy Park.



Background: English Ivy Court and That Portion of English Ivy Drive

located in Section Five Phase One, Ivy Park has twenty-nine (29) residential

lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying English Ivy Court and

That Portion of English Ivy Drive located in Section Five Phase One, Ivy Park.

A description of the property is as follows: All those lots, tracts and

parcels of land lying and being in Part of Land Lots 233 and 234, of the 19th

District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as that portion of

English Ivy Drive extending into Sections Five, Phase One and English Ivy Court

as said roads and rights-of-way are shown on the map or plat entitled "Section

Five, Phase One, Ivy Park, Part of Land Lot 233 & 234, 19th District, Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Hobbs, Smith & Assoc., Inc., dated

January 5, 2009, said plat recorded in Plat Book 161, pages 333 and 334, in the

Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all

dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to English

Ivy Court and That Portion of English Ivy Drive located in Section Five Phase

One, Ivy Park.

























A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO ENGLISH IVY COURT AND THAT

PORTION OF ENGLISH IVY DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION FIVE, PHASE ONE, IVY PARK ON

BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying English Ivy Court

and that portion of English Ivy Drive located in Section Five, Phase One, Ivy

Park, a full description of property on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated April 14, 2009, conveying to Columbus, Georgia

English Ivy Court and that portion of English Ivy Drive located in Section

Five, Phase One, Ivy Park be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of

Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in

the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy

of the deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this

resolution
