An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government of
Columbus, Georgia by correcting the legal description contained in Ordinance
No. 11-42 which changed certain boundaries of a district located at 6003
Veterans Parkway from GC (General Commercial) Zoning District to RO
(Residential-Office) Zoning District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department be, and the same is
hereby amended by inserting the following corrected legal description for
property located at 6003 Veterans Parkway, having been rezoned from GC (General
Commercial) Zoning District to RO (Residential-Office) Zoning District by
Ordinance No. 11-42:
All that lot, tract, or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Part of Land
Lots 44 and 57 of the 8th District of Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and
being known as TRACT ?A? and TRACT ?B?, as said tracts are shown on a map or
plat entitled ?REPLAT OF PART OF LAND LOTS 44 & 57, 8TH DISTRICT, PROPERTY OF
REC MINISTRIES, INC., COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA?, dated June 17, 2011,
prepared by EMC Engineering Services, Inc., and recorded in Plat Book 163, Page
91, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County,
Georgia, which reference is made for a more particular location and description
of said tracts.
The above-described property is rezoned subject to the following
condition:
1. If the property ceases to be used for Residential Office (RO)
purposes, the Planning department shall petition to rezone the property to the
original General Commercial (GC) classification.
