SUBJECT: Quit Claim Deed on Property located at 5117 12th Avenue
INITIATED BY: Community Reinvestment
Recommendation: Approval is requested to execute a Quit Claim Deed to release
the City's interest in the property.
Background: The City purchased the property with CDBG funding. The City
donated the property to Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc. for the purpose of
Affordable Housing. Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc. developed an affordable
home and sold to an income qualified buyer.
Analysis: Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc. and the City have all HUD
requirements.
Financial Considerations: There is no expense to the City.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: N/A
Legal Considerations: The council must approve the action by resolution.
Recommendations/ Actions: Authorizing the City Manager to execute a Quit Claim
Deed to release the City's interest in the property located at 5117 12th
Avenue.
A RESOLUTION
NO. _____
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THAT THE CITY MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE
A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO RELEASE THE CITY'S INTEREST IN THE PROPERTY LOCATED 5117
12TH AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the City purchased the property with CDBG funding; and,
WHEREAS, the City donated the property to Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc. for
the purpose of Affordable Housing; and,
WHEREAS, Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc. has developed an affordabe home and
sold to an income qualified buyer.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed to
release the City's interest in the property.
