As requested at the last meeting, Larry provided the Authority members with the

most current job description for the Executive Director position. Larry was

also asked to provide the hiring pay range for that position. Larry stated that

since he was not included on the city?s pay scale the information was not

readily available, however he had obtained the pay range for comparable

positions within the city. Larry added that a salary study was included in the

updated proposal from the Cunningham Center, as well as changing the final

candidate selection from 15 to 10 with the final 5 being given the Hogan

Assessment.

Vice Chairman Colin Martin reported that he had spoken with Michael

Silverstein, a local headhunter. Colin stated that although Mr. Silverstein did

not give a formal proposal or quote, he did indicate that he usually serviced

larger corporations and that the fee would be costly.

Ms. Gloria Strode passed out a grading sheet to be used during the Authority?s

selection process of the headhunting firm. Ms. Strode also asked that the

company chosen perform background checks and certification verification on the

final candidates for hire.
