Council Members

Councilor Davis,

This is a great gesture and gift and we will gladly accept their donation.

Isaiah, I'll get this placed on the next City Manager's agenda for council's

approval. If you want to handle differently, let me know.

Thanks,

Subject: Flag partnership

See below.......what a great guy/group. Any problem with request?

Dan BennettGlenn- I failed to call or message you a note of thanks for

making access to the American Flags. We used them for the Best Ranger

opening ceremony and a number of high profile events since. Lisa

Goodwin and her down line assistants have been kind to deliver them

when needed and picked up when done. The brand new flags were being

transported and stored in makeshift casements (the most recent time

they consisted of old burlap rice bags and cut off yellow sleeves from

an old rain jacket). You and I know that Old Glory demands a higher

level of respect SO I had two customized storage / transport casements

designed and produced at Clint's Auto Trim on Veterans Pkwy. Within

hours of when I contracted the work to be done, I had managed to get

the $214 donated by over 20 fellow Team RWB members and other "friends

of the flag". We would like these 2 casements (each capable of fitting

10 flags) to be part of the standard transport and storage of these

flags and would like them to represent our sincerest appreciation for

the City of Columbus' willingness to allow us to proudly display the

stars and stripes at a number of various public and private events.4
