SUBJECT: Temporary Use or Special Event Permit for Farm Style Market



INITIATED BY: City Manager?s Office





Recommendation: Approval is requested to approve the request of Woodruff

Brokerage Company to have a Farm Style Market once a month over the course of

six months at Old Town.



Background: Woodruff Brokerage Company would like to hold several farm style

market days at Old Town on 4/19/18, 5/17/18, 6/21/18, 7/19/18, 8/16/18, and

9/20/18 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. The Inspections & Code Department has reviewed

the paperwork to ensure that everything meets the code standards.



Analysis: According to the UDO Section 3.2.63, the Inspections and Code

Department can only issue a Temporary Use or Special Event Permit for seven

consecutive days. The City Manager may authorize one administrative extension

up to three days. The Council shall approve any event more than ten days in

length.



Financial Considerations: There are no financial obligations.



Legal Considerations: Council is eliglble to grant permission for this

Temporary Use or Special Event Permit for a Farm Style Market.



Recommendation: Approval is requested to approve the request of Woodruff

Brokerage Company to have a Farm Style Market once a month over the course of

six months at Old Town.

A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST OF WOODRUFF BROKERAGE COMPANY

TO HAVE A FARM STYLE MARKET ONCE A MONTH OVER THE COURSE OF SIX MONTHS.



WHEREAS, the Woodruff Brokerage Company is requesting permission to host a farm

style market at Old Towne; and,



WHEREAS, the Inspections and Code Department approves this request according to

our city code.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:



The city council grant permission to the Woodruff Brokerage Company to host a

Farm Style Market once a month for six months.
