The meeting was called to order by the Chairperson, Mr. Walter J. Wright, Jr.

Motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes of the June Board meeting as

presented. Vote unanimous.

NEW BUSINESS:

The Director brought to the Board?s attention a request from a citizen to

televise the Board meetings. The Director asked the Board?s pleasure. After

discussing the issue, the Board agreed that with the detailing of the equipment

and the counting of the provisional ballots, this prohibits having meetings

televised. The public is invited and has in the past attended the Board

meetings.

The second request from the same citizen, Deborah Owens, is to place the Board

members addresses and telephone numbers on the web site. The Director stated

that she has checked on the web site all the Boards that are listed and there

is no consistency in the way the other Boards display this information. Mr.

Roberts asked if Deborah Owens is a registered voter in Muscogee County. The

Director researched the Muscogee County voter list and did not find a Deborah

Owens as a registered voter of this county.

OLD BUSINESS:

The ID requirement for the election has changed from 17 forms of ID to 6 forms

of ID. We are still issuing free ID cards to citizens who do not have a

driver?s license or any other form of identification.

The precinct change request has been sent to the Justice Department and should

be in place for the November 6, 2007 election. Precinct cards will be mailed

to all voters who will be affected by the precinct changes. The Ledger has

also agreed to help us by printing a graph of the changes that have been made

in the precincts.

Being no further business to discuss, a motion was made and seconded to

adjourn. Vote was unanimous.
