AN ORDINANCE

An ordinance amending the Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2015
beginning July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015 so as to appropriate and
account for the payment of legal fees and expenses provided to the Muscogee
County Sheriff in the case of Darr v. Columbus; and for other purposes.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
The Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2015 beginning July 1, 2014 and
ending June 30, 2015 is hereby amended by increasing the General Fund
Department 590 in the amount of $207,613.85 in order to pay certain legal fees
and expenses provided to Sheriff Darr in the case Darr v. Columbus,
SU-14-CV-3437. Said appropriation shall be drawn out of the Claims and
Judgments Assigned Fund Balance.
SECTION 2.
Upon passage of this Ordinance, Council will adopt a resolution to
effectuate the method of such payments as may be required to comply with orders
of the Court in the above referenced litigation.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby repealed.
