MINUTES # 26-11
The Columbus, Georgia, Board of Tax Assessors met Monday, July 18, 2011 at
9:00AM with Chairman Lawton Grantham, Assessor Ann Grantham, Assessor Pat
Hunter and Derrick Shields present. Also present was Residential Division Mgr
Bob O?Brien representing Chief Appraiser Betty J. Middleton, who was absent
attending the GAAO Conference. Assessor Scott Boyce was absent.
Assessor Pat Hunter made a motion to approve Min#25-11. Assessor Ann
Grantham seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Assessor Ann Grantham made a motion to excuse Assessor Scott Boyce; Assessor
Pat Hunter seconded the motion; motion carried.
Assessor Pat Hunter made a motion to adopt the policy concerning the path of
appeals; Assessor Ann Grantham seconded the motion; motion carried.
Met with Residential Division Manager Bob O?Brien to discuss litigation matters.
Met with Commercial Appraiser Henry Banks, reviewed and approved the following:
Multiyear Map Split: 1
Met with Personal Property Division Manager Oliver Juhan, reviewed and approved
the following:
Appeals: 2(-)
Assessment Correction: 1(-)
Pers Prop Div Mgr Oliver Juhan presented an appeal for Account # 00348901 for
2011, which is deemed late.
