A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, Julia Cape of Midland Middle School recently won the State National
History Day Competition at the University of Maryland;
WHEREAS, Julia?s category for the project was individual performance and her
topic was Amelia Earhart;
WHEREAS, at the awards ceremony, Julia was presented with the prize for
outstanding middle school entry and she was recognized by the state of Georgia;
WHEREAS, Sue Funk, gifted facilitator at Midland Middle School, accompanied
Julia at the national competition;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Julia Cape of Midland Middle School are worthy
of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Julia Cape of Midland Middle School upon her
first-place finish at the State National History Day Competition at the
University of Maryland. Columbus is proud of Julia?s accomplishments and we
wish her every success in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be
forwarded to Julia Cape.
