Subject Bunker Hill Road

Description Out in the Yorktown area near Bunker Hill Road where there is a new

subdivision being developed, let?s have the staff to make sure the tree

ordinance is being adhered to in that new development. Also, find out if there

was a lake behind this area and if that lake has been covered in, and if so,

what would be the impact of that lake being filled in. (Request of Councilor

Turner Pugh)

Response This is the Lexington Hills Subdivision. The subdivision does

currently meet the requirements of the tree ordinance. Trees will also be

added on the lots as they are developed. In checking the 2004 aerials, there

is not a lake shown at the current location but looking at the contours there

appears to be an old site that may have been a lake at one time. This area is

going to be used as their detention pond.
