SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Atlantic Ivy Court and that portion

of North Ivy Park Drive

located in Section Three, Phase One, North Ivy Park



INITIATED BY: Engineering Department





Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Atlantic

Ivy Court and that portion of North Ivy Park Drive located in Section Three,

Phase One, North Ivy Park.



Background: Atlantic Ivy Court and that portion of North Ivy Park Drive

located in Section Three, Phase One, North Ivy Park has Twenty-two (22)

residential lots. The streets have been improved and meets the specifications

for acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Atlantic Ivy Court

and that portion of North Ivy Park Drive located in Section Three, Phase One,

North Ivy Park. A description of property is as follows: Those certain tracts

or parcels of land designated as North Ivy Park Drive and all of Atlantic Ivy

Court all shown upon a map or plat of survey entitled "Section Three, Phase

One, North Ivy Park, Part of Land Lot 232, 19th District, Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia" as prepared by Hobbs Smith & Assoc., Inc., dated January 15,

2015, and recorded in Plat Book 164, Folio 215, in the Office of the Clerk of

the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, to which reference is made for

the exact location of said deed streets conveyed hereby.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until

maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,

all dedicated right of way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the acceptance of Atlantic Ivy Court and that

portion of North Ivy Park Drive located in Section Three, Phase One, North Ivy

Park.













A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO ATLANTIC IVY COURT AND

THAT PORTION OF NORTH IVY PARK DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION THREE, PHASE ONE, NORTH

IVY PARK ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Atlantic Ivy

Court and that portion of North Ivy Park Drive located in Section Three, Phase

One, North Ivy Park, a full description of property on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance of same; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated April 24, 2015, conveying to Columbus, Georgia,

Atlantic Ivy Court and that portion of North Ivy Park Drive located in Section

Three, Phase One, North Ivy Park, and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of

Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in

the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy

is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
