COLUMBUS GOLF AUTHORITY MEETING
August 28, 2012
Ralph Huling, Chairperson, called the meeting to order. Those in attendance
were Jeff Blankenship, Ralph Huling, Aubry Burt, Dan Culpepper and Carl
Williams.
Excused absence was Rhudine Nelson. Unexcused absences were Eddie Lindsey and
Rudy Allen.
Superintendent Report:
The rainfall amount for July was 6.53 inches and August to date was 3.94
inches. Putting
green height has been raised to .115 inches. We had a sprinkler head blowout on

green east Course at Bull Creek. The green has been rolled and top-dressed.
Dead tree
removal is continuing. Chuck Lewis, Bull Creek Assistant Superintendent, father
passed
away on Sunday, August 26. The irrigation pump at Oxbow Creek has been down,
but
will be back online within the week.
New Business:

Old Business:
The golf cart lease is coming up for renewal as of January 1, 2013. Club Car's
proposal is
for 48 months, with the first 6 months at $50.50 per cart per month, and the
last 42
months at $51.75 per month per cart After 48 months the balloon will be $1,650
per
cart or $221,100. In addition, Club Car will give us 5 carts from the present
fleet to use
as we see fit.
Yamaha's proposal is for 48 months at $50.00 per cart per month. After 48
months the
balloon will be $1,825 per cart, or $244,550.
We have not received EZGo's proposal and should have it by the October
Authority
meeting.
It is noted that the new fleet will have the same accessories as the current
fleet. Ralph
Huling suggested we change the color of the carts.
Director of Golf:
Financial Report -
Bull Creek revenue for July was $129,374 with expenses of $74,342, which shows
a
profit of $55,000.

Oxbow Creek revenue for July was $26,867 with expenses of $27,131 which shows a
loss of $264 as opposed to a loss of $6,563 in July of last year.
There being no further business, motion was made to adjourn and seconded by
Jeff
Blankenship. The meeting was adjourned at 4:35 PM.
