SUBJECT: Lease Agreement with Synovous Bank/ATM Machine
INITIATED BY: City Manager?s Office
Recommendation: Approval is requested to enter into a lease agreement with
Synovous Bank and allow the installation of a walk up automatic teller machine
(ATM) at Bay Avenue Parking Deck.
Background: Synovous Bank is desirous of installing an ATM at the Bay
Avenue Parking Garage located at #4 12th Street, adjacent to the Chattahoochee
River Club and the Synovous Center.
Analysis: Synovous Bank will construct a pad necessary to support the new ATM,
and handicap access ramps and landings to be fully compliant with the Americans
with Disabilities Act. They will bring communication cable and electrical
service to the site to support the new terminal. A site plan, digital images
of the proposed ATM with signage, and a proposed ground lease consistent with
similar locations in their network are included. This will serve as the first
public-facing ATM of the bank wide upgrade of ATM equipment to be activated on
August 23, 2012.
The term of the lease shall be 60 months beginning August 1, 2012 and ending on
July 31, 2017.
Financial Considerations: Synovous Bank will pay the City (METRA Transit
System; Parking Management Division) $150.00 per month during the term of the
lease.
Legal Considerations: City Attorney?s Office has approved to form.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approval is requested to authorize the City Manager
to enter into a lease agreement with Synovous Bank and allow the installation
of a walk up automatic teller machine (ATM) at Bay Avenue Parking Deck.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH SYNOVOUS BANK TO INSTALL A WALK UP AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINE
(ATM) AT THE BAY PARKING GARAGE.
WHEREAS, Synovous is desirous of installing an ATM at the Bay Avenue Parking
Garage located #4 12th Street, adjacent to the Chattahoochee River Club and
the Synovous Center: and
WHEREAS, Synovous will construct a concrete pad necessary to support the new
ATM and handicap access ramp and landing to be fully compliant with the
Americans with Disabilities Act: and
WHEREAS, a location map, site plain, proposed placement picture, ATM Structure
Plan and a Proposed Lease Agreement are attached: and
WHEREAS, Synovous will rent said premises for a sum of One Hundred Fifty
Dollars ($ 150.00) per month from the City for 60 months beginning August 1,
2012 ending on July 31, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVER AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a lease agreement with
Synovous Bank and allow the installation of a walk up automatic teller machine
(ATM) to be installed at the Bay Avenue Parking Deck.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the

affirmative vote of ________________members of said Council.
