AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MISCELLANEOUS DRIVING RULES OF THE
CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA BY AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION
20-9.48 BY PROHIBITING TRUCKS TO A MAXIMUM OF SEVEN (7) TONS AND/OR A LENGTH OF
24 FEET FROM TRAVELING ALONG JACKSON ROAD FROM LYNCH ROAD TO GARRETT ROAD AND
ALONG LYNCH ROAD FROM YARBROUGH ROAD NORTH TO JACKSON ROAD; AUTHORIZING THE
INSTALLATION OF OFFICIAL TRAFFIC SIGNS INDICATING SAID RESTRICTIONS; REPEALING
ANY CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That it shall be unlawful for any truck exceeding the weight of seven (7) tons
and/or a length of 24 feet to travel the streets, avenues, and roadways except
to make a delivery or pick-ups on the following roadway:
Jackson Road from Lynch Road to Garrett Road, and
Lynch Road from Yarbrough Road north to Jackson Road.
SECTION II.
The official traffic control signs shall be installed indicating the
restrictions described here within Section I.
SECTION III.
All ordinances and parts of any ordinance in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia,
held on the day of , 2006;
introduced a second time at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
day of 2006, and adopted at said
meeting by the affirmative vote of members of Council.
